The Colmcille Gospel Choir were founded in 2009 by Margaret McAteer, their Musical Director and currently have a membership of 80. The choir rehearse once a week in Ramelton Town Hall and repertoire consists mainly of Gospel and other uplifting music, sung in four parts. They have performed in a number of venues including An Grianán Theatre, Glenveagh Castle and Ramelton Town Hall as well as at several charitable events and in 2011 and 2012, the choir sang in the Gospel competition at the Sligo Choral Festival. In 2011, a small number of the choir sang in Wielun Church, Poland during the Krakow Gospel Festival and this year, twenty-one members are singing at Llangollen international Musical Eistedfodd as a non-competitive choir.
