Four second half goals put the cherry on top for Milford, as they were presented with the All-County Football League Division 2 Trophy.

The side, managed by Danny O'Donnell had sealed their promotion last month with a win in Glenfin and the title was assured since last Sunday, when the last of their chasers, Four Masters, were beaten at MacCumhaill's.

On Sunday evening at Moyle View Park, Malin, who still have promotion hopes of their own, were the visitors. Milford were 0-8 to 0-7 in front at the break, but second half goals from Cathal McGettigan (2), Kane Barrell and Darragh Black sealed a 4-11 to 1-13 win.

It’s been a rapid rise for Milford, who were a Division 4 side as recently as 2013 - the same year they won the Junior A Football Championship. This coming Saturday, Milford face Naomh Brid in the quarter-finals of the Intermediate Football Championship.
