*Intermediate Championship Semi Final*

CLG BnaG v Aodh Ruadh

TBC, Saturday @ 12 noon

After defeating Naomh Brid in the last round the Seniors will now take on Aodh Ruadh of Ballyshannon in the semi final. Aodh Ruadh are flying high in Division 3 and have already secured promotion to Division 2, and the last time the sides met it was Aodh Ruadh knocking Na Galloglaigh out of last years Championship at the quarter final stage. Venue is yet to be confirmed for this game but it is hoped there will be as much support as possible there to get behind the lads on Saturday morning.

*Intermediate Championship*

CLG BnaG 2-12 Naomh Brid 1-12

Truth be told it wasn't a great game of football on Saturday but nevertheless the boys find themselves in a Championship semi final with a good win over Naomh Brid. The conditions were not their usual best in Convoy and a hungry and aggressive Ballintra outfit prevented Na Galloglaigh from getting into their usual rhythm. Naomh Brid started the better and went 0-3 to 0-1 up before Na Galloglaigh hit bit of a purple match in the second period of the half. One of the points was a monster free from Gary Merritt which seen the boys race into a 0-7 to 0-3 lead before Naomh Brid clawed it back to just two at the break, 0-7 to 0-5. The second half was fairly tit for tat before a Kyle Black goal gave the boys a little breathing room, but again Naomh Brid fought back. It was a huge couple of minutes midway through the half that determined the outcome of the match. First of all a mix up in the Na Galloglaigh defence saw them concede a goal which put Brid ahead, but moments later the Ballintra men were reduced to 14 when their midfielder received a second yellow. A mere handful of moments after this a mix up in the Naomh Brid saw Pauric Curley fire home to the net from close range. The boys worked hard to keep their lead from here in and stretched it to 4 points before Naomh Brid finished the scoring to leave it a 2-12 to 1-12 victory to Na Galloglaigh. There was great support for the boys once again today and hopefully it will be there again for the semi final next weekend. Team: Caolan Mc Gettigan, Gary Merritt (0-2), Barry McNulty, Tj Evesson, PJ Hagan, Paddy Peoples, Jonny Logue, Luke Barrett (0-1), Joey Cullen, Cathal Mc Gettigan (0-3), Pauric Curley (1-0), David Curley (0-1), Kyle Black (1-2), Christopher Barrett (0-2), Darragh Black (0-1). *Reserve Championship*
CLG BnaG 2-15 Naomh Columba 0-7

OurReserves advanced to the semi final of the Championship with a comprehensive win over Glencolumbcille in Convoy. They played some of their best football of the season and dominated from start to finish. They got off to a perfect start when their first attack resulted in a penalty when one of the Glen defenders picked the ball off the ground inside the small square. Paul Fisher stepped up to convert to the bottom corner. Kieran Gorman bromke from midfield and followed up with a point soon after. Glen got their first point from a free, and then added a second from play, but Na Galloglaigh responded with points from half backs Dean Burgess and Kieran Sheridan before Martin Doyle scored a goal with a brilliant finish. Again Glen responded with points to reduce the deficit to 4 at ahlf time. Na Galloglaigh dominated the second half with midfield duo of Paul Sweeney and Gorman winning almost every kickout. This laid the platform for constant attacks and Na Galloglaigh outscored their opponents 11 to 1 in a comprehensive performance. It was a great team performance with 9 different scorers and confidence will be high goinginto next weeks semi final.
